Print-Ready Scan – $160 per artwork
For artists preparing artwork for fine art reproduction, limited editions, online sales or professional printing.
This service includes a 600 DPI archival scan, cropping, straightening, clean-up, basic retouching and colour matching. Your file is professionally prepared as a print-ready high-resolution file, with a web JPG also supplied for online use.
The print-ready preparation is completed by a technician and usually requires around one hour of retouching per artwork.
Colour matching fee:
The colour matching fee generally applies to the initial setup and first print run only — once per artwork. Future prints from the same approved file usually won’t attract the same fee unless you request colour profile changes, a different paper or canvas stock, or supply a new scan/file.
What’s included:
✓ Professional flatbed scan at 600 DPI
✓ Cropping and straightening
✓ Clean-up, basic retouching and colour matching
✓ Print-ready high-resolution file
✓ Web JPG for online use
Pricing:
1 artwork — $160 each
Please note: Print-ready preparation is more detailed than a Raw Scan and is recommended if you intend to produce fine art prints from your scanned artwork.
Raw Scan File – $80 per artwork – No edits
For artists who are confident using Photoshop or other editing software and would like to manage their own post-processing.
Gallery 8 scans your artwork at 600 DPI on our professional large-format flatbed scanner and supplies a high-resolution TIFF file. This is an unprocessed raw capture — no retouching, colour correction, cropping or print preparation is included.
What’s included:
✓ Professional flatbed scan at 600 DPI
✓ High-resolution TIFF file
✓ Unedited raw scan for your own post-production
Multiple Artwork Scan Discount for smaller Artworks
$60 per artwork
This discounted rate applies when more than one artwork can safely fit together on the scanner bed in a single scan.
Example:
2 paintings scanned together = $120 total
Please note: If you intend to print from this file, we recommend upgrading to a Print-Ready Scan so the file is cropped, straightened, colour matched and professionally prepared for fine art reproduction.
