Artist Submissions at Gallery 8

At Gallery 8, we are passionate about supporting artists by providing a platform to showcase their work in a professional gallery setting. We invite artists of all backgrounds and mediums to submit their artwork for exhibition opportunities. Our goal is to foster creativity and offer exposure for both emerging and established artists, allowing them to connect with a wider audience.

How to Submit Your Artwork
Artists are encouraged to submit high-quality images of their artwork along with a brief artist statement and bio. Whether your work is in painting, photography, sculpture, or other visual mediums, we want to see your unique perspective and creative expression.

Submission Guidelines

  • Artwork Format: Digital images of artwork in JPEG, PNG, or PDF (no larger than 5MB per file).

  • Artist Statement & Bio: Include a brief statement explaining your work and a short biography.

  • Submission Limit: You can submit up to 5 pieces per submission.

At Gallery 8, we seek work that demonstrates innovation, originality, and artistic excellence. We’re interested in pieces that challenge conventional boundaries and offer fresh, thought-provoking perspectives, whether abstract, representational, contemporary, or classic.

Options for Artists: Commission or Wall Space Rental
We offer two flexible options for exhibiting your artwork at Gallery 8:

  1. Commission-Based Sales Option
    If you choose this option, Gallery 8 will take a 40% commission on the sale price of any artwork sold during the exhibition. This option allows you to focus entirely on your artwork while we handle the promotion, sales, and gallery management. Our commission rate is competitive, and you’ll benefit from our gallery’s exposure, professional marketing, and a curated exhibition environment.

  2. Wall Space Rental with Lower Commission
    For artists who prefer more control over their sales, we offer the option to rent gallery wall space at $500 per month (for a 6' x 6' wall) or $850 per month (for an 8' x 8' wall). This option comes with a reduced commission rate of 15% on any artwork sold. Renting wall space gives you the freedom to exhibit and sell your work directly, while still benefiting from the gallery's professional setting and foot traffic.

What Happens After You Submit
Once your submission is received, our curatorial team will review all works. If your artwork is selected for an upcoming exhibition, we will contact you with additional details, including exhibition dates, sales options, and space rental opportunities. You will also receive specific instructions regarding shipping, installation, and other important logistics.
